Your Board Members
Dedicated volunteers bringing expertise, community passion, and deep respect for Harford County’s natural environment.
Jim serves as Chairman providing strategic direction for the board’s programs. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Maryland Big Tree Program.
Jamie manages financial records, meeting documentation, and administrative operations for the board’s digital presence.
Emma brings hands-on expertise in forestry operations and conservation activities, supporting the board’s practical stewardship mission.
Joli leads the Maryland Big Tree Program for Harford County, locating, measuring, and registering the county’s most extraordinary trees for recognition.
Geoff contributes to financial oversight and operational decisions, supporting tree planting initiatives and directing resources toward conservation.
Danny focuses on forest health, invasive species management, and connecting rural landowners with resources to steward their forests responsibly.
Mike brings community perspective and civic dedication, actively participating in governance, community programs, and the mission to promote forest conservation.
80+ Years of Forest Stewardship
Established in 1943 under Maryland law, the Harford County Forestry Board is one of 24 county forestry boards, charged with advising local government, supporting conservation, and connecting residents with resources to steward the land.
The board operates in close partnership with the Maryland Forestry Foundation (MFF) and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Forest Service, backing local action with statewide expertise.
